How to Fix Resource Pack Download Refused

Reconnect and choose Proceed when the resource pack screen appears. The game then sets Server Resource Packs to Enabled for that server, so it won't ask again.
To skip the question in advance, edit the server in your multiplayer list and set Server Resource Packs to Enabled. The pack then downloads as soon as you join.
Admins: set require-resource-pack=false in server.properties if players should be able to play without the pack.
Admins: link directly to a zip no larger than 250 MiB and set resource-pack-sha1 to its SHA-1 in lowercase hex. The client checks every download against that hash.
Admins: update resource-pack-sha1 whenever you replace the file. Without a hash, the console warns at startup that clients only get a new version when the pack's name changes.

Common Causes
- You turned down the pack on a server that requires it. The screen warns that rejecting the pack will disconnect you, and the game then closes the connection with This server requires a custom resource pack.
- The server has require-resource-pack=true in server.properties. Without that setting, turning the pack down only means you play without it.
- The pack failed to download, for example because the link is broken, the file is larger than 250 MiB or resource-pack-sha1 doesn't match the file. Vanilla doesn't disconnect you for that. You join without the pack, and the game reports how many packs failed to download.
